Our Second Boulder Office

A flyer that David made up for our employees in order to generate excitement when we doubled our space at Pearl East.

In early 1996 we hired Zebeth, John, and Andy Cutright, so Pinpoint now had seven employees. There was no longer enough shag carpeting at Vern’s to accommodate all of us.

David and I began the process of looking for some professional office space. When we walked into the office at 4845 Pearl East Circle in February, we immediately fell in love. The previous tenant, a marketing agency, had loaded up the space with a lot of features. It had a great open floor plan and incredible views of the mountains. We signed up almost immediately.

The 2,000 square feet at Pearl East would be our home for the next three years. In August 1997 we took over another 2,000 square feet next door, opened up a wall, and doubled our footprint.

At a time that we were beginning to court bigger companies and wanted to bring them by our office, Vern’s place was just too embarrassing to host guests like these. We paid $3,000 a month in rent, up from $800 at Vern’s, so the money was a stretch. We never regretted it and we felt more like a real company than ever.
